We often get asked “What is team training?” Rightfully so. Team Training is a functional training system that is relatively new. Existing mostly on the west coast and in the southern states – Last year O.B. Training & Sports Performance brought the concept to lovely Upstate New York.
Team Training is the name of our large group training services that we offer. But why not Boot Camp? Simple. It’s not bootcamp. Bootcamp is a workout term that was popularized in the 90’s as a kick your butt, drill sergeant instructed, make you wanna puke workout class. This is where you generally find an instructor that is just barking orders and pushing attendees to go faster, regardless of technique or risk for injury.
That is NOT Team Training.
Team Training is focussed on getting each person the most out of their workout in a minimal amount of time. The Team Training system at O.B. Training is built to build on all facets of health and fitness. Anyone can make someone tired, to make someone better is a different story.

The most special part about the Team Training program is actually the people. Just like the name implies – Everyone comes together to work as a Team. During the workout you have a team to support you and push you when you need it. The atmosphere is upbeat, supportive, and inspiring. The training and support systems together create an uplifting experience for anyone new or returning to exercise. Each and every workout can be modified for different fitness and experience levels.
At O.B. Training & Sports Performance we have 3 different Team Training services.
TRX is very similar to our Training Camp workouts but with more time spent on the TRX straps. The full body workout has an emphasis on developing core strength and stability. The upbeat pace creates a great metabolic conditioning workout.
Training Camp is the new school version of Bootcamp. This workout focuses on developing all aspects of the Team Training system. Each workout is different and continuously builds your abilities. A variety of equipment is used so the workouts are always kept fresh and there is always an opportunity to learn something new.
Pilates is a different breed in it’s own. Pilates focusses on developing proper breathing habits, mobility, flexibility, and core strength. The class is mostly ground based and inspires a relaxing feeling to aide in recovery.
